Has anyone else downloaded what seems to be a book in epub format, BUT when you then try to import it into lingq you get the message that it is a zip, even though the extension is epub?
What solutions does anyone have?
I had a look in Calibre, and many have mentioned downloading a DRM removal tool for calibre, but i have not found one or one that works. The only one i found is years old and no longer supported.

It adds an extra step, but I sometimes use Calibre to convert EPUB files into plain text files (TXT) and import those into LingQ. I’ve never run into EPUBs with DRM before though, so I don’t know if a simple file conversion would work for you in this case.
Good luck!
Where do you got the epub from? There is a plugin for Calibre called DeDRM. I have used it for ebooks bought on Amazon and Google Play Books thus far, and there it works like a charme. And once the DRM is removed they actually can be opened with a zip programm (7-zip for example).
