Ook hulpvaardige automobilisten konden …
or
Ook konden hulvaardige automobilisten …
These are both right but it depends on the context. If you would want to say for example they could drink a cup of coffee: Ook hulpvaardige automobilisten konden een kopje koffie drinken, or ook konden hulpvaardige automobilisten een kopje koffie drinken, the first one would mean also HELPFUL um… car drivers, could drink a cup of coffee, opposed to only the ones that weren’t helpful. The second one would just mean helpful car drivers were offered a cup of coffee.
20 kilometer, 20 euro, 20 liter, words used for measurement are always singular.
De verschrikte bruid riep haar man nog tevergeefs na.

De verschrikte bruid riep haar man tevergeefs na.
Both are good, the difference is so small… I would use both in the same situation.
ze zijn de liefde aan het bedrijven
or
ze bedrijven de liefde
They’re making love/they make love. Although the second one could mean the first one too. Honestly… in Dutch it doesn’t really matter that much if you use the right verb tense.
