Digital Protection

What is this? And how can I remove it?
I tried to import an e-book and a message appeared saying something about it.

"Digital rights management (DRM) tools or technological protection measures (TPM) are a set of access control technologies for restricting the use of proprietary hardware and copyrighted works. DRM technologies try to control the use, modification, and distribution of copyrighted works (such as software and multimedia content), as well as systems within devices that enforce these policies.

To get rid of DRM, and to be able to upload a book onto LingQ, you’ll need to install software such as “Calibre”. Search the forums here for instructions, it’s generally not too hard to do to your own books.

I have finally found an easy solution to this problem. I had no success with Calibre, but I bought an app for $30 called Epubor Ultimate that works like a charm!! Worth every penny to me so I can read books here.
