Czech Republic

Hi everybody,
I would like to share with you some general information about my country. You can find a podcast about the Czech Republic in “Wikipedie / Czech Republic”.

The little I have seen of your country (Prague and Nova Paka) was wonderful, although covered by a lot of snow in the case of N.P. I met some amazing people (older generation) and adored the knowledge and enthusiasm of the ladies at the Kafka museum.

The BBC films a lot of its historical programmes in the Czech Republic. As far as we British are concerned therefore, going to the Czech Republic is not only going abroad, but travelling in time too.

I loved the Czech Republic and the Czech people the couple times I’ve visited there and plan to learn some Czech in the future…

Thank you all of you  It is always nice to hear that somebody knows “something” about so small country  I’ve been told by some people that dont know where the Czech Republic is; some people think that it is still Czechoslovakia…
blindside70> if you decide to learn some Czech, I will help you. I have already recorded some podcasts. Let me know whenever you decide to learn.
Have a nice day.

The Doctor - I would be very interested in your Czech podcasts, if you wouldn’t mind sharing. My husband and I are plan to move to Ostrava soon. So I am searching for good Czech materials. I am about half way through Pimsleurs full Czech course and I listen to Czech broadcasts almost every day.
My email is akzlight@msn.com. Thank you.

AlekxZar: Sure, I can send you some my podcasts. Although I havent made a lot of podcast. You can even find some text that you are interested in and tell me and I will record it for you. You can even write some text in English and I will translate it and then record it. We can have even Czech-English conversations. Let me know. My email is “jaroslav.kovalcik@centrum.cz”. Bye.

AlekxZar: you can use “Rhinospike.com” website. You can put some a text in a language you are learning and a native will record it.
