Create a LingQ specific for Proper Noun and Foreign words

I always thought that LingQ should’ve done an update that can finally separate proper nouns or foreign words in a language from the Known Words.

Every time you read something really dense, you can see these words very often, and it’s really simple to deal with them: just mark “known” and live on. But, unfortunately, I noticed that these are polluting my Known Words to the extent I can’t really know anymore what I truly have learnt.

Just some option that wouldn’t count a certain word in the Known Words and be in a separate category (as mentioned above) would be fine!

I can see the point. I either out them in 0 or K. My word count will have words I’ve largely forgotten so I accept it’s only a broad estimate.

First of all these still are likely to be a very small number percentagewise but I always Ignore any of these proper nounds or foreign words.

The question is where is the boundary between proper noun and regular word. Proper nouns can have other meaning at the same time. Foreign words can be considered naturalised by some people while being clearly foreign words for other people. No matter what boundaries you set, somebody will always disagree.

Either accept that you have certain percent of proper names in your word counts, or use X to ignore them.

BTW: I wouldn’t be too obsessed with the exact known words count anyway. it is just a number that rises when I’m learning, and stagnates when I’m too lazy.

This already exists – the bin icon (I don’t know what lingq calls it) means that word will be ignored in future. That sounds like exactly what you want.
