Chinese on Lingq - Reaching 10,000 word count!

Hello Everyone, My name is Austin.

I just wanted to make a quick post on my achievement in the Chinese language and maybe encourage others! I started learning Chinese around 2 years ago. Two years ago I also moved to china. When i arrived i didn’t know how to say one word in the Chinese language besides 1, 2, 3 and maybe hello.

Within those two years I worked hard trying to “master” the Chinese language. It was like a puzzle. The more I studied the more the pieces started fitting together and of course I ran into countless times of
“I DONT THINK I CAN LEARN THIS”,

IT SEEMS LIKE IM MAKING NO PROGRESS,

IM SPEAKING CHINESE BUT THEY ARENT UNDERSTANDING A SINGLE WORD IM SAYING.

HOW DO I SAY THAT PHRASE AGAIN?

CAN YOU SAY THAT ONE MORE TIME? SLOWLY PLEASE…

AND ON AND ON… But it slowly all started sinking in and making more and more since.

I heard of Lingq one day as I was looking through some videos on YouTube and was eager to try new methods for learning Chinese.

In May of 2016 I signed up for premium on Lingq. It wasn’t until a round a year after that I REALLY started using Lingq and I love it. It has been a major key in my success in the Chinese language. A great tool. There is tons of great content that you can choose from and not only that but the option to import is still my favorite! The playlist is also very nice which allows you to listen on the go and reinforce lessons in your brain that you have already studied.

Today I reached a word count of 10,000 and feel like I have a good grasp on the Chinese language. My next goal is 12,000… 15,000… 20,000 and so on.

At the moment I am not in China but with Lingq I still have that opportunity to immerse myself into the Chinese language which is GREAT! I also watch TV shows, read books, Etc.

Goodluck everyone on Lingq and keep working toward your goal!
