Changing the order of the playlists

This is a mess. I want to be able to reorder playlists, or sort playlists, or organize playlists in some way in the Web UI.

I see this has been asked for:

Hi, On the Playlists Page, I have created a list of playlist folders on the far left of the page. I would like to order them. Can you tell me if this is possible? For example, when I create a new playlist folder it appears at the bottom of the list. However, i might want to move this folder up to the middle or top of the list. Excuse me if this is already a feature that I cannot locate, but it would be great if I could create folders for my playlists. My list of playlists is starting to become long and unmanageable.

We can move lessons up/down within a playlist, but can we also move a playlist itself up/down against other playlists? I’ve just set up a new playlist, but because it’s new it’s at the bottom of all the other playlists, so I have to scroll down to reach it. It’s new, I’d like it to be at the top or near the top, but it’s inconveniently down at the bottom. I’d like to be able to place all the playlists I use most at the top, in order to reach them easily. Is there any way to change the order in…

But I haven’t seen any changes to this. Even if it were just alphabetized, I could work with that.

What is the status of this enhancement request? Was it ever logged with Development? Is it on the roadmap? It seems like such a basic enhancement, something which a junior dev or intern could take on: sort the playlists.

I suspect this could even get patched with some client side script via Tampermonkey (if someone were looking for a project).

I agree completely. In general management of playlists and lessons that belong to them is a great inconvenience.

Maybe some sort of injectable script could help with the problem of managing their order, but I strongly suspect lingq needs to fix the problem that they can’t be nested into folders and subfolders, to group them etc.

Or given tags, so they can be handled as sets.

Thank you! I agree that tags, folders, drag and drop functionality would be nice to have, but even a simple sorting would be welcome (I could prepend playlist names with prefixes, etc).
