Whenever I attempt to change the status of a LingQ from unknown to anything 1-4 it simply won’t allow me to and it will immediately snap it back to it’s original status. I have to fight with the system by refreshing the page and sometimes that fixes it, sometimes not.
Another bug I’ve been dealing with is that on lessons I import from YouTube using the extension the highlight text while audio is playing so I can follow along also doesn’t work. And yes, I made sure the setting was in fact enabled.
This is another frustrating bug that occurs occasionally. I usually have to navigate to the previous or next page to update the status, which is both time-consuming and inconvenient.
Yeah. The other day I couldn’t combine words to make a lingq like normal. I think that bug was because I was trying to add it to a hyphenated word.
Just had to redo a lesson because several sentences in the middle were being translated to Spanish instead of english. Manually editing the translation just pushed them forward to the next sentences
Of course, I want to note as well that the white underline for words when audio plays is completely gone as well. I turned it off and on again in the settings and nothing helps.
@nathan_prc05 May I ask if you might have been creating LingQs at a rate of more than 60 per minute? If so, this behavior would be expected, as rate limits can temporarily block LingQ creation for a few seconds.
I tested this out and a few words started bugging out after the 12th word. I waited a few seconds to make sure they loaded with their definitions visible in the side bar and they were still buggy. It doesn’t appear to be a server issue.
Hi Zoran, I noticed this happens only on the browser version, Firefox, when I use the keyboard cursor keys to switch fast from one word to another and back. Then it appears. Or when I click with the mouse forth and back with a certain velocity. I do this sometimes in order to understand better the context without to rely on the translation.
I don’t believe it has to do with a LingQ creation limit. What really happens in my case: The cursor is on one word and the translation shows a different word.
