I was thinking since there are a lot of stories like Le Petit Prince, Sherlock Holmes, Le Etranger etc. available here, would there be any legal issue with translating them to another language ourselves and then uploading the text/sound in that language?

If the copyright expired, I don’t see why there would be a problem with it. That’s why the content is available after all. Lots of people create their own editions and sell them online.
Yeah I figured. Just wondered whether there was some weird law that made it different if you translate it. I´m thinking I might translate something simple and nice like Le Petit Prince into Icelandic when I´m done with the 60 mini-stories.
