Bug Report: Progress Bar Not Updating When Turning Pages (iOS)

Dear LingQ Support Team,

I would like to report a bug I am experiencing on iOS when using imported books.

Issue:
When I turn pages in an imported book, LingQ does not seem to register the progress correctly. The green progress bar remains unchanged, even though I continue reading.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open an imported book
  2. Read and turn pages normally
  3. Observe the progress bar at the top

Expected behavior:
The progress bar should update dynamically as I move forward through the text.

Actual behavior:
The progress bar stays static and does not reflect my reading progress.

Additional notes:

  • The issue persists even when navigating back and forth between pages
  • Restarting navigation within the lesson does not resolve the problem
  • I am using the LingQ app on iOS

This makes it difficult to track reading progress accurately.

Please let me know if you need further details or a screen recording.

I’m on the latest release, and I have been having this problem. Intermittently.

thank you for your response.

I am using the latest version of the app (6.0.11 on iOS).

In the meantime, I have found a workaround: when the issue occurs, I can open the lesson in a web browser and turn the page there. After that, the progress is updated correctly and the issue is resolved in the app.

However, the bug has already occurred three times, so it does not seem to be an isolated case.

We are looking into this and we will have it sorted out.
