Browser extension not working - again

Hi, I have trouble importing anything from my browser, as the extension won’t open. I have to copy the link, send to phone, import in the app instead.

I am using edge browser (latest version), on windows 11.

Hope this will be fixed soon. I deactivated and reactivated but to no avail.

Hi @Safran, sorry to hear that. Just to confirm, you’ve updated the Edge browser extension to version 2.3.13 (released on June 3, 2025), clicked on the extension icon, granted access to the Prime Video website, and then attempted to import new videos from YouTube or another source—correct? Thanks in advance for your reply

The last update was a couple of days ago, at my place, and I can’t find the version of edge, but there is also no update button, which usually informs me about pending updates, so I assume it’s the same version you mentioned.

As for prime video, why would I need access to that? I am not trying to import from there, I was trying to import from a reading (blog) website and youtube, and yes, lingQ does have permission to access both pages, I did not restrict permission, I did not even choose “only grant access when clicking”, and I did not change anything there either, so it should work, as it did before… I had the same problem before, and it was gone after a while, but I did not change anything then, and I did not change anything now. I can only assume that the old update a couple of days ago messed something up. But I am not into tech, so I don’t even know where to start looking

@Safran here is the link to the latest version of the Edge browser extension - LingQ Importer - Microsoft Edge Addons
You can find the version number and release date on the right-hand side of the page.

It’s important to keep your extension updated because websites like YouTube, Netflix and other platforms often change how their pages work. When they do, older versions of our extension may stop working correctly for some of websites. By updating to the latest version, you ensure that the extension can keep up with those changes and continue to work smoothly when importing videos or using other features.

Thank you, I got the message in my browser now, that I need to allow "reading and changing data on primevideo.
I still would like to know what this is about? I am sure there are people who don’t even have prime, but apart from that, I have never used LingQ with any paid subscription (be it netflix or anything else), so why the new “access request”?
Is it actually possible to use LingQ with prime now? If so, I would still like to have the choice what data to share and what not to share. I find the new extension a bit troublesome, so I decided to deactivate it and actually use what I have been using in the last few days, the app on my phone… I really like LingQ but still have some privacy concerns when it comes to the extension. Maybe you can shed some light on this new development. Thank you.
