Friedemann, does it occur to you that every time you post here restating your case, you may be annoying people who follow LingQ forums. I have already said that Mark will explain our policy and reply upon his return.
If I am the only one who seems to be annoyed, and this is too difficult to implement, then please ignore my posts in this thread.
I have diverted all LingQ mails with the consequence that I will check my special LingQ mail account only once a week or even less … Thank you and Mark .

“… this weird electronic Trommelfeuer…??”
British people seem to like German military vocabulary like “Trommelfeuer”, “Blitzkrieg”, etc.
Is this a consequence from too many WW-2 episodes in British TV?
I grew up watching too many black & white American propaganda WWII episodes…
@u5
That’s a very good question. It is (perhaps rather sadly?) the case that wars always seem to add to British vocabulary. Ever since the Falklands War, for example, many people use the term “exocet” figuratively to refer to a sudden destructive event: “that was like an exocet missile for his business”, etc.
Having said that, the word “Trommelfeuer” is probably not very well known outside of military (or military historical) circles. I think I first learned it when I read “Im Westen nichts Neues”. I was just throwing it in to inject a little colour to the thread, so to speak.

Who is going to follow this thread unless he has an interest in this issue? I am really fed up with with your lack of respect and your arrogant tone. I second u50623’s post above, I am done with this email issue.
@hape,
I have no idea how many people are annoyed by these emails. You raised a legitimate question in your first post.
I can only repeat my original answer.
"I don’t know if Mark will be seeing this forum before Tuesday. This is a long weekend here in British Columbia.
We are concerned about fostering interaction amongst our members. Obviously this needs to be balanced against minimizing any annoyance to our regular users. So let’s wait to hear what Mark has to say on this."
@friedemann, u56203 - You don’t have to keep repeating yourselves. We understand your complaints. Ordering us to fix the issue does not get things done any more quickly. When we have time we will look at your requests and decide what, if anything, we will do.
