Android Home-screen Widget not working

The home-screen widget that shows information about your current Streak, is presently not working on Android. Stopped working 1 or 2 days ago, but had previously been working for a few weeks without issue (I had only started using it a few weeks ago).

Troubleshooting attempted so far:

  • Uninstalled and re-installed Lingq
  • Cleared Lingq App cache and data
  • Removed and re-added widget
  • Resized widget (variety of supported sizes)
  • Upgraded to latest Android
  • Rebooted phone several times between

At this point, I’m starting to doubt it’s an issue on the client side… If I had to hazard a guess… maybe there’s a webservice this relies on that has been turned off, or had some security or ACL policy change?

@judayjude Are you on the latest app version we released?

@zoran the app says it is on version: 6.2.0 (629)

I have the same issue since a few days. Version 6.2.0. Did all the same steps and even cleared my Samsung Homescreen cache and data.

I have the same problem on my Samsung, and I got it at about the same time as you did.

Reinstalling the app and clearing the cache didn’t help either

There’s a widget? You guys should tell us more clearly.
Can it say whether you met the daily goal and the words read today, per language?
Surely no one cares if they met their target last Tuesday.
