Adding audio to a text lesson

I have both text and audio of something I’d like to use in LingQ but the text and audio are separate files. Is there a way to put the two together on LingQ? I saw this question was kind of addressed in 2013 and then 2019 but I know things change.

I think you just create a new lesson (the button label appears to be “Import Lesson”) and then it has boxes that let you do some or all of these things:

  • to either paste in the text or add a file of text
  • to add an audio file
  • to add a video file
  • to add a title
  • to add a description
  • to add an image

Thank you, Zorbital! I’ll try that.

I would recommend adding the text and the audio at the same time. The system does a much better job of creating the lesson than if you try to add audio after creating the lesson.

Be careful–with some of the boxes (like the audio and the image one) you have to click the box first and then it pops up a box that you can use as a drop target for the file (image or audio or whatever) that you want to use.

I say this because early on I would sometimes forget that and try to drop an image or audio file into the box before I clicked it to get it to make its special popup, and then, because I dropped it into the wrong place, the browser would lose all my work putting all the stuff together, because it doesn’t save anything until you do all the pieces and finally hit the Save and Generate Lesson button in the upper right.
