Accessibility problem on Android

Hello, I am a blind user and have been using LingQ on Android for 4 years with screen readers (Jieshuo and TalkBack). After the latest update, the reading interface has become completely inaccessible. My screen reader cannot detect or focus on any of the text content within the lessons. It is as if the text area is invisible to accessibility services. As a long-term user, I can no longer use the app. Could you please prioritize fixing these accessibility regressions? Lingq version: 6.1.12. Android 16. Thank you!

I’ve pushed an update with accessibility support issues fixed. This might work a bit different than what you were used to. Please do give feedback, and let us know what can be further improved or still not working. Here is the apk if you want to give it a try and you’re not in the firebase app tester beta group. It was also pushed to Google Play and should be available tomorrow. I deeply apologize for the inconvenience, and please let @zoran know if you need your streak fixed because of being unable to use the app.

Hello, thank you for the update!
I installed the APK and at the begining I could read texts in both normal mode and sentence mode well. However after a short while I tried to read a lesson again and noticed some strange behaviours on the app such as not loading any lesson as if internet is not stable. Also when I hovered over a button, screen reader announced so: Reader settings unavailable, menu unavailable, sentence mode unavailable. Because of these I removed apk and will wait for the update on the Play Store. Thanks again for your hard work on this!

Yeah those unavailable annoucements from the screen reader mean that the lesson was not loading. I’ll investigate. Thank you.
