A simple work around to get better video playback with Fire Fox. No add-on needed

wanted to share this little hack I stumbled on, not sure if it’s already been shared here. I have attached a video link demonstrating how to do it. Essentially lets you watch videos on the website version of LingQ without having the video block either the transcript or the dictionary, as you can see it gives the video nice real estate on the screen while the line highlighting on the transcript helps you keep the transcript synced with where you are up to in the video (although you still have to manually click next page but it’s not that bad in my opinion) As far as I am aware this only works with Firefox but maybe another similar work around can be found with another browser.

That’s a great hack, Josh! I always struggled to watch videos and at the same time read along with the LingQ text. I tried it in Google Chrome, but unfortunately, it doesn’t offer the same option to project the video in the same way. I’m gonna start using LingQ in Firefox from now on.

Grazie mille!
