이게 한자로 이루어진 말인데~ a little confused

Any help would be appreciated translating this sentence.
From my level of Korean, I’d say " This chinese script(hanja) consists of speech, or is made up from speech"… But I know this isn’t 100%.
Any help with the construction and translation would be helpful.

Thank you~

I see the problem in “This chinese …”. “This chinese script” implies 이 한자…, not quite 이게 한자…
이게 is contraction of 이것이 = 이것 (this) + 이 (subject marker). It is more like “This is” and expects a full predicate.

With this in mind, the main parts of the clause are:

이게… This is ( subject phrase )
한자로 이루어진 말…a phrase made up of chinese characters, ( predicate noun phrase )
인데…(which/so,…) ( conjunctive form )

Thus the skeletal structure is similar to 이것이 책인데… (This is a book…).
The translation would be something like: “This is a phrase made from chinese characters…”.

Thank you very much, that helps a lot.
I thought 이게, was something along the lines of “this is…”, but wasn’t sure enough.
Again, your explanation was extremely helpful.
Cheers
